Our first letter to Isaias

Dear Isaias,

this is our first letter to you. We want to introduce our association, so you can imagine who we are. We are a group of german and philippin friends. On the photo you can see some of our members, men, women and of course children.
We meet one day a week, we talk about our families, we eat and drink and some times we play some games and we always have much fun.

I know, these are too much names for the first time, so I will only tell you something about some of them. In our next letter I will give you more information about the others.

So, at first Werner is our president and Isabel is his wife. She is cooking often for all of us, for example a very good pansit. Kathrin is 14 years old, she likes music, dancing and she plays sometimes with her brother Justin. Justin is 4 years old and he likes playing football very much. Their mother is Josephine.
I think that is enough for the first time, more the next time.

We all live in Germany (Deutschland) in a town called Dortmund. You can see our land on the map. You see it’s a very long way from us to you.
In Germany we have winter now, so it is very cold and some days we have snow. For our children that mean they have fun and some times they even can build a snowman. But we have to wear thick pullovers, long trousers and coats. Can you imagine that in your nice, warm country?

And at the end some questions from us to you:

Tell us something about your favourite games and your friends. We have seen a photo from you and your grandmother on which you look very nice, so tell us something about your family, please.
We wait for a little message from you and we will write again soon!

Lieber DPF,

zunächst einmal möchte ich Hallo sagen, wie geht es Euch?

Ich bin Veronica Ialasan, die Schwester von Isaias. Ich bin die älteste Schwester von Isaias, ich habe zwei Brüder und eine Schwester, mein Vater heißt Eddie Boy und meine Mutter Angela, aber es ist traurig, dass ich erzählen muss, dass sie verstorben ist im April letzten Jahres. Aber Isaias lebt hier mit meiner Großmutter auch schon, als meine Mutter noch lebte. Denn obwohl Vater auf der Farm arbeitet, konnten sie nicht täglich für uns sorgen, so dass wir mit meiner Schwester und meinem Bruder bei unserer Großmutter leben.
Ich bin glücklich, dass ihr meinen Bruder als Patenkind ausgewählt habt, und ich hoffe, dass ihr eines Tages meinen Bruder treffen werdet.
Danke an Plan-Philippines, dass sie in unser Dorf gekommen sind, denn sie helfen in vielen Dingen den Menschen hier, etwa in der Schulunterrichtung und vielem mehr.
Übrigens bin ich gern diejenige, die den Brief für Isaias schreibt, da er erst drei Jahre alt ist.

Nochmals herzlichen Dank, dass ihr Isaias als Patenkind ausgewählt habt.
